The Korean Marine Products Association organized a field trip to Tongyeong with 14 influencers selected through an 18-to-1 competition, aiming to promote sardine production and share online content.

Key points

  • 14 influencers selected through 18-to-1 competition participate in sardine field trip
  • Influencers plan to create online content based on their experiences
  • Association aims to increase consumer understanding of sardine production and values

In October, the association collaborated with 'Amazing Crew' to explore sardine processing at the Maljuseo Anchovy Fishery and Tongyeong Central Market. The program, designed to showcase marine products and their production processes, was launched this year for the first time.

The 14 participants (10 bloggers, 4 Instagrammers) observed the drying and packaging of sardines at the Maljuseo Anchovy Fishery and experienced fishing operations using a jangdaegi vessel. They will create online content based on their field trip experiences for public release.

The association hopes this initiative will help consumers better understand the production process and various values of sardines, providing more opportunities to enjoy them in daily life. It plans to continue promoting marine products through such activities.
