International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) has launched AQUASCENT™, an innovative water-based carrier designed to enhance the performance of fine fragrances while promoting sustainability in the industry.
According to Sabrya Meflah, president of Fine Fragrance for IFF Scent, this technology supports both compelling fragrance experiences and a more sustainable approach. It is part of IFF's Science of Performance platform aimed at improving scent delivery over time.
AQUASCENT™ can hold up to 25% of fragrance, compared to the typical maximum of 15%, ensuring high performance while maintaining transparency. This technology also offers a resource-efficient shipping method by allowing brands to add water during final production.
