Univars Solutions announced that it has formed a sole distribution partnership with CABB Group through its Ingredients + Specialties business unit. CABB Group is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) providing customized active ingredients and high-purity solutions for life sciences, personal care, and crop science.
Under this agreement, the distribution area of glycolic acid will be expanded beyond Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) to include the United States and Canada. The key raw material GLYCOS® Clear 70 is also included in the distribution scope. Glycolic acid is a component used in cosmetics and skincare products for exfoliation purposes, aiding in skin appearance and texture improvement.
Nick Powell, CEO of Univars Solutions' Ingredients + Specialties division, stated that this collaboration represents significant progress in expanding high-performance solution supply to the North American beauty and personal care market. He explained that both companies will combine their technical expertise and glycolic acid capabilities to support customers in developing products with diverse functionalities.
