HD Hyundai has established a 'Global Marine Center' with Siemens in Haean-gu, Busan. This hub combines HD Hyundai's shipbuilding and marine technology with Siemens' digital engineering capabilities to promote innovation in the shipbuilding sector.
The center aims to enhance next-generation marine platforms by integrating data into 3D models throughout the entire lifecycle of ship design, production, and maintenance, and to implement a digital shipyard where pre-validation can be done in a virtual environment.
HD Hyundai will collaborate with its group companies to support the technological strategy and fundamental technology for the next-generation marine platform. This initiative aligns with their plan to build smart autonomous operating shipyards by 2030, thereby strengthening future competitiveness.
