JHC, a subsidiary of ELNF, has expanded its resource recycling business by acquiring the capability to preprocess up to 15,000 tons of used batteries annually and recovering about 95% of lithium from waste water.
Key points
•JHC expands with 15,000-ton battery preprocessing capacity
•Lithium recovery rate reaches 95% in waste water
•Collaboration with ELNF and CISChemical for circular economy
As a subsidiary of ELNF, JHC is expanding its resource recycling operations with a focus on battery preprocessing and lithium recovery. Currently, the company possesses an annual processing capacity of 15,000 tons.
Building upon its experience in cathode production, JHC has developed the ability to safely handle waste electrodes and spent batteries while efficiently producing black mass, contributing to the circular economy of used batteries.
JHC also holds technology for recovering approximately 95% of lithium from waste water. This capability is realized through wastewater reuse permits, allowing the company to achieve both lithium resource utilization and environmental sustainability.
