The GreenFund (Chairman Choi Yeol) is implementing a targeted living environment support program for five low-income families in Seoul and surrounding areas, aiming to address housing issues caused by climate change as part of its 'Climate Crisis Child Support Campaign' launched in 2024.
In the first case study in 2025, the organization carried out various interventions including mold removal and insulation at a family home in Seodaemun District. Monitoring conducted over about a year showed positive changes such as reduced air conditioner usage and fewer hospital visits.
The GreenFund hopes to raise awareness of the need for improved living conditions for climate-vulnerable children and secure more substantial support through its ongoing fundraising campaign on Naver HappySeed, which runs until October 22.
