Key points
•AI search era challenges for design companies
•Enhancing portfolios with text descriptions
•Implementing Google's AI search guidelines
The company held a workshop as part of the 'DESIGN INTELLIGENCE : BUSAN' event organized by the East South Region Design Industry Association. The training aimed to educate participants on how AI searches for design firms and how to optimize their portfolios for better visibility.
During the first lecture, Ransensquare CEO Kim Jae-seok discussed how AI makes recommendations based on customer queries and suggested ways to enhance portfolio descriptions so that they are readable by AI. He highlighted the limitations of image-based portfolios and proposed adding text descriptions alongside images to improve discoverability.
The training also covered Google's guidelines for generating AI searches, emphasizing the importance of providing textual evidence before customers can find a firm’s work. The 30-day implementation plan includes documenting current status, revising flagship projects, and linking external records.
