The Hagyu Youth Center has launched a range of environmental education programs in its first year as the newly designated Gangseo District Environmental Education Center, focusing on youth and community engagement.

Key points

  • Environmental education programs engaging youth and communities
  • Educator training to build a network of environmental educators
  • Community outreach through school partnerships

In its inaugural year as the Gangseo District Environmental Education Center, the Hagyu Youth Center organized various initiatives such as an environmental festival, club activities, and educator training sessions for young people and local residents.

The center hosted a participatory environmental festival in June called 'Imagination Bounce Festival,' which featured performances and interactive activities to enhance understanding of environmental issues. It also promoted community outreach with schools and launched campaigns involving local residents.

To foster grassroots environmental awareness, the center established an eco-friendly club for teenagers and ran an educator training academy aimed at expanding a network of environmental educators within the community.
