  • Comprehensive Additive Classification

FoodLab, led by CEO Eunhee Lee, announced that its mobile apps for iOS and Android have attracted more than 10,000 monthly unique visitors just three months post-launch. The company offers a service that analyzes food ingredients to help consumers easily assess safety when making product choices.

Powered by AI, FoodLab's analysis engine reads barcodes or label photos to identify the raw materials, nutritional content, and allergen information of foods. It assigns a 'SafeScore' out of 100 based on domestic and international standards, with results varying according to family members’ ages, allergies, and dietary needs.

The app also provides a clear view of the country of origin for ingredients, allowing users to filter out unwanted sources. FoodLab categorizes over 780 additives using both domestic legal standards and international agency evaluations, considering factors like European Union bans or carcinogenic research findings.
