  • National PNC certification system first demonstration
  • Hyundai Group collaborates with climate and environment agencies
  • Pilot services on public chargers starting this December

On January 1, Hyundai Motor Group publicly showcased and successfully operated a national standard Plug-and-Charge (PNC) certification system at Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate Energy Environment and Korea Environmental Corporation.

PNC is a technology that automatically certifies vehicles, charges them, and processes payments simply by connecting an electric vehicle's charging cable. This demonstration included connecting various vehicles to public chargers to confirm actual service operations without additional member authentication.

The system is set for pilot services on public chargers from December this year, with full-scale implementation planned for February 2027. This is expected to significantly improve the convenience for electric vehicle users.
