The Munhakgwan Munhwagyeon was established to honor the late Joseon-era genre painter Shin Yun-bok and promote his artistic and life values globally. President Yeo-Myeong Man of Eunpeochi Dental Clinic highlighted that 127 academic papers have been based on Shin's artwork.
At the founding congress, the bylaws were approved, new officers appointed, and future plans discussed, with Yeo-Myeong Man being elected as the first president. Key initiatives include establishing commemorative plaques and hosting art festivals.
Shin Yun-bok was a late Joseon-era genre painter known for his works like 'Beauty Scroll', which depicted social life of the era. The organization plans to integrate these values into modern tourism content, aiming to transform Eunpyeug District's Bongsan area into an arts and culture special zone.
