Key points
•Qurient files dual payload ADC platform patent
•Expands QP101 candidate to various target antibodies
•Strengthens IP framework for global partnerships
Korean biotech company Qurient (KOSDAQ: 115180) has filed an international patent application (PCT) for its dual payload antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) platform technology. The filing aims to strengthen the company's commercialization foundation in the global ADC market by expanding QP101, a HER2-targeted dual payload ADC candidate.
Building on last year’s development of QP101, this patent application focuses on platformizing the dual payload design technology applied to QP101. This move allows Qurient to expand its intellectual property framework from individual patents to a platform-based approach, facilitating collaboration with global partners.
Qurient plans to pursue a platform business that applies dual payload ADC technology to various target antibodies through this patent filing. Lee Gi-yeon, CEO of Qurient, stated, 'With this patent, we aim to expand our collaborations with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies while fostering growth in both our pipeline development and platform technology transfer.'
