The Korean Autism Love Association, led by President Kim Yong-jik, won the Minister of Administrative and Institutional Services Award at the inaugural Korea Public Impact Awards held on October 14, 2026, in Seoul's FKI Tower. The award recognizes the social impact and public value of its development disability asset management support service aimed at protecting property rights and promoting independent living for people with developmental disabilities.
Since 2015, the association has provided a combined trust and decision-making support financial management service to over 3,988 individuals, establishing a safety net that protects their assets while integrating daily life support. From 2015 to June 2026, it ran pilot projects with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Pension Service. In April this year, it was designated as a trust manager for developmentally disabled people, expanding its service scope.
President Kim hopes that this award will help continue supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. He emphasized the need to establish the Special Needs Trust Act. The association aims to build an integrated support system covering all aspects of life beyond just asset management.
