Korea's SEC Evaluation Institute overhauled its website and revamped evaluation methods to boost information accessibility and analytical functions.

Key points

  • SEC Evaluation renews website
  • Enhances evaluation framework with WFSRI
  • Plans first ESG and WFSRI evaluations in 2026

The Korea Securities Rating Agency (SEC Evaluation) introduced the WFSRI, a 10-year research outcome, for comprehensive corporate and public institution responsibility management evaluations. The new framework includes nine assessment areas, 27 sub-items, and 159 detailed indicators based on this index.

This website update restructures information to make WFSRI, SEC WFSRI ratings, evaluation frameworks, methodologies, and results more accessible. Additionally, the agency is preparing for trademark registration to protect its institution names and brand.

The 'SEC Analysis & Newsroom' section has been revamped to analyze ESG, corporate, public institution, and industry trends both domestically and internationally. SEC Evaluation plans to conduct its first ESG and WFSRI evaluations of KOSPI/KOSDAQ listed companies and public institutions from 2026.
