Hyundai sold a total of 307,998 vehicles worldwide in September 2026, but both domestic and international sales declined compared to the same month last year.
Key points
•2026 September global vehicle sales
•Decline in domestic and overseas sales compared to last year
•Focus on expanding international sales through new car launches
In September 2026, Hyundai sold 49,022 vehicles domestically and 258,976 abroad, totaling 307,998. This marks a decrease of 25.7% in the domestic market and 13.9% in international markets compared to the same period last year.
Domestically, Hyundai sold various models including sedans like Grandeur, Avante, Sonata, as well as SUVs such as Santa Fe, Palisade, and Kona, along with smaller commercial vehicles like Porter and Staria, and large buses and trucks. Genesis also contributed to sales with models G80, GV70, and GV80.
In international markets, reduced business days due to the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday and delayed new car demand affected sales. However, Hyundai plans to increase international sales by continuously launching high-quality vehicles like the all-new Tucson.
