On September 30, KG Mobility and Hyundai Mobis signed a MOU to participate in the Max Alliance under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. The goal is to innovate technology in AI autonomous driving.
The Max Alliance consists of 11 specialized groups aiming to revitalize South Korea's manufacturing sector and become a leading nation in AI transformation. KG Mobility will lead the development of SDV platforms and autonomous driving technologies, as well as promote the localization of electric motors for core technology acquisition.
KG Mobility CEO Kang Ki-young stated that their participation aims to validate production efficiency with SDV platforms and autonomous driving tech on new vehicles. They also plan to secure these platforms while completing a lineup of eco-friendly vehicles to ensure future growth.
