Key points

  • Korea Local Government Insurance Corporation and National Police Agency sign safety campaign pact
  • Agreement to enhance promotion of policing policies and safety awareness through digital outdoor media
  • Digital media belt expected to increase public attention towards safety

On September 30, at Seoul's Seodaemun District, the Korea Local Government Insurance Corporation and the National Police Agency signed an agreement on 'Public Interest Advertising Cooperation for Public Safety Campaign via Digital Media Belt.' The agreement aims to enhance the promotion of key policing policies and safety awareness through large digital outdoor advertising media in the Olympic Boulevard area.

The two agencies plan to expand public service advertisement broadcasts through the digital media belt and effectively deliver safety messages to drivers and passengers. Given that this medium directly exposes to road users, it is expected to increase social attention towards public safety.

Chung Sun-yong, President of the Korea Local Government Insurance Corporation, stated, 'Utilizing the digital media belt for effective dissemination of the National Police Agency's policing policies has significant meaning.' Kim Jong-chul, Acting Director-General of the National Police Agency, added, 'We can better inform the public about key safety measures such as traffic safety and prevention of new types of phishing.'
