The Korean Vocational Ability Research Institute is set to implement an AI-based personalized career education model in 3,000 middle and high schools across the country with a 36-month investment of 810 billion won.
Key points
•$1 invested in AI career education yields $3.20 social benefit
•Program targets 5,000 schools with 3 million students
•Teacher training key to successful implementation
The institute aims to apply this AI-driven personalized career education program to about 3 million students at 5,000 middle and high schools nationwide over a period of 36 months, investing 810 billion won.
An analysis suggests that for every won invested in AI-based career education, there is a social benefit of 3.2 won, which could reduce mismatches between careers and skills, as well as youth unemployment rates.
To ensure the success of this model, the institute recommends prioritizing teacher capacity building and establishing a collaborative structure where teachers review and approve AI-recommended content.
